While we make money through partnerships with some of the brands we discuss in our articles, our editorial team operates 100% independently, and these partners never influence or affect the topics, reviews, ratings, or recommendations we provide. We never guarantee favorable reviews or mentions in exchange for compensation from any brands or partners, and we uphold strict editorial standards to ensure our content is always independent, truthful, and unbiased.
RICHMOND, Va. – Compare.com – a comparison platform that allows consumers to compare auto insurance quotes from more than 60 of the country’s top carriers – has announced it will be naming Allie Feakins as its CEO on January 1, 2020. Feakins replaces longtime CEO Andrew Rose, who has led the Richmond, Virginia-based company since its initial launch in 2013. Feakins – who first joined Compare.com just three months after the site’s launch in June 2013 – has nearly a decade’s worth of experience in the auto insurance industry, serving as a product manager with Progressive Insurance after receiving her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in 2010. She has served as both Head of Carrier Management and Head of Analytics in her seven years with Compare.com. “We’re grateful for all Andrew’s leadership in building the business,” Feakins said of Rose’s departure. “He has created an outstanding culture here at Compare.com and I have no doubt his hard work up to this point will play a critical role in the company’s success moving forward.” Rose – who leaves Compare.com to serve as Vice President of Insurance Innovation at General Motors – served as Elephant Auto Insurance Chairman & CEO prior to taking the reins at Compare.com (formerly CompareNow.com). Both companies are owned by Admiral Group Plc, the United Kingdom’s second-largest insurance carrier. “The last six months or so have been some of our best on record from a financial performance standpoint,” Rose said. “I am leaving feeling good that the business is on a good trajectory and looking forward to the team taking it to new heights.” Feakins said she plans to continue that positive trajectory to take Compare.com to new heights in the coming years. “This is a great opportunity for us to take the outstanding foundation Andrew helped build and turn it into something truly special,” she said. “In this next chapter of growth, we will take the team and continue transforming how customers shop here in the U.S.”
